Focusing on the sharing economy, this research explores the critical role of trust in Peer-to-Peer applications, particularly how trust can be transferred between platforms. Through a comprehensive literature review and the development of a conceptual model, the study evaluates a questionnaire using structural equation modeling. It validates a three-dimensional trust scale—ability, benevolence, and integrity—and provides empirical evidence for trust transferability, highlighting how imported ratings enhance perceived provider reputation and influence user trust. The findings pave the way for future research on trust dynamics.
