Set against the backdrop of the prestigious Invitational, this story follows wizard mentors Kit Rodriguez, Nita Callahan, and her sister Dairine as they guide two exceptionally talented yet challenging students. Nita and Kit work with Penn Shao-Feng, a sun technician with unconventional ideas about solar weather, while Dairine supports Mehrnaz Farrahi, an Iranian wizard facing familial pressures while trying to master earthquake defusal. The narrative explores themes of mentorship, personal growth, and the struggle against societal expectations.
