In a quest to protect New York City, Eric Banyon, a bard and magician, finds himself amidst a brewing conflict involving unethical drug researchers aiming to create a mercenary army through psychotropic substances. Their plans attract the attention of Aerune mac Audelaine, a dark lord seeking to exploit the chaos for his own gain. As Eric teams up with a half-elven companion and a gargoyle, they must confront these threats in a magical showdown that could alter the fate of Gotham and Eric's own destiny.
