The Story of Little Black Sambo

The story follows Sambo, a South Indian boy, who cleverly outsmarts four hungry tigers by sacrificing his colorful belongings to avoid being eaten. The tigers, consumed by their vanity, chase each other until they transform into ghee, which Sambo's mother uses to make pancakes. This edition, a faithful reprint of the 1923 original, features 27 color illustrations that align with the artistic style of early 20th-century children's literature, distancing itself from the racist depictions found in other versions.
