This is a book about expatriate living in foreign colonies, particularly Spain and Mexico, but in other places too. It describes the life in these places, who is there, what goes on, the foreign cultures and the nature of the interaction with the natives. Although set in the past, in the 60's and 70's, it remains largely relevant today in many ways. This book is autobiographical and features us and our family of four children and has great descriptions of that life. The book has photos and sketches and features some travel as well.
