Thingbobbin Squirrel may be a caricature of many corporate managers who are making headlines in today's business news. He was born at the bottom of Knob Hill on Cedar Mountain, the present day location of Hot Springs Village. His mother was so proud of him she said, "Isn't he something." And because he was always bobbing up and down in the trees, he was nicknamed Thingbobbin. Thing was an ambitious squirrel. He saw opportunities to climb the social, financial, and political ladder to the top of the mountain. He wanted to be the "Top Buck", the CEO of Knob Hill who ran the squirrel kingdom, bossed the Board of Directors, and kept control of the pension funds. Thingbobbin made it almost to the top, but was disgraced and shaken out of his tree. However, he learned what happened to the pension funds and restored prosperity to the mountain.
