These are the stories about the men and women with whom I worked during my fourteen years as a New York City Police Officer. I'm sharing these stories with you so you might understand what a cop goes through during his career and how he might react to situations. Urban police officers and officers patrolling smaller communities are subject to the same situations, reactions and dangers. Their response and handling calls for service are often based on their attitudes. Attitudes learned long before they pin a badge on their uniform.
