Egmont and Sanrio have introduced a new character, Little Miss Inventor, to the Mr Men and Little Miss universe. Launching on 8th March to coincide with International Women’s Day and British Science Week, this book targets children aged two and up, priced at £3.99. Described as “intelligent, ingenious and inventive,” Little Miss Inventor faces her “greatest challenge yet” by creating an invention for Mr Rude. Creator Adam Hargreaves expressed his enjoyment in "challenging a stereotype," noting that her brain is filled with ideas that she transforms into extraordinary inventions in her garden shed. She invents not only for herself but also for her friends, creating items like a chatter-natter hat for Little Miss Chatterbox and a back-pack-snack-attack fridge for Mr. Greedy. Little Miss Inventor is the 38th character to join the classic library, originally started by Roger Hargreaves and now continued by his son. Adam Hargreaves shared his excitement about creating this new character and the fun of inventing quirky gadgets for her and her friends. He also highlighted the importance of presenting a positive role model and challenging stereotypes, even in small ways.
