The study focuses on the development and evaluation of DNA and DNA-PEDOT:PSS membranes as hole transport materials in dye-sensitized solar cells. Characterization techniques revealed that isolated DNA exhibited 80% transparency at 600 nm, while the addition of 2% PEDOT:PSS reduced this to 62% at 550 nm. FTIR analysis confirmed the successful incorporation of PEDOT:PSS, and thermal analysis indicated a glass transition temperature that disappeared with PEDOT:PSS addition. Notably, thermal stability improved significantly, reaching 200 °C with a consistent residue at 900 °C.
