Focusing on the management of expatriates and repatriates, this study investigates how a sample of Portuguese companies supports their employees throughout the expatriation process. It examines the role of human resource management practices before, during, and after the expatriation, highlighting their impact on employee retention and turnover. The research aims to provide insights into effective strategies for managing expatriate transitions and their long-term effects on organizational success.
