As the pandemic prompted increased calls for support, the book was revised in 2020 to engage parents and children, encouraging them to explore the screenplay together and address the challenges of remote learning and emotional well-being.

The narrative explores the complexities of navigating a multi-racial and multi-cultural identity amidst heavy racial tensions. It emphasizes the importance of viewing humanity through a lens of compassion, focusing on families rather than conflicts, and recognizing global issues like starvation and war.
