Local Taxes and ICTs in Uganda
Good Governance by Participation and Transparency?
This study examines Uganda's shift to digitalizing local urban fiscal institutions to combat corruption and improve public services. Findings indicate that this transition has formalized the informal sector, enhanced citizen participation, and reduced tax evasion and fiscal leakages, ultimately fostering better governance.
