This book emerged from my desire to develop the leaders within my school district. In spring 2015, I became the Superintendent of Schools, a role that offered numerous benefits but also significant responsibilities. While preparation courses cover budgeting, curriculum, personnel, and law, they often overlook essential responsibilities that arise in practice. This book aims to address those overlooked aspects, alongside Dr. Larry Haynes, who contributed to chapter four. With over 40 years of combined leadership experience, we emphasize the importance of how information is utilized in effective leadership. These responsibilities are crucial for leaders who aspire to sustain their roles. Dr. Rickie R. Harris and Dr. Larry L. Haynes bring extensive experience in both educational and church leadership, having served in various positions, including assistant principal, principal, coordinator, director, superintendent, deacon, and pastor. Their diverse backgrounds provide valuable insights for other leaders. The primary goal is to equip leaders with the necessary tools to sustain their leadership and lead in a manner that aligns with their values and principles.
