Rick and nine fellow survivors of a plane crash during a volcanic eruption are rescued and taken to a safe facility. The survivor's initial gratitude is lost when they are informed that they are in an angel's work station and will not be allowed to return to Earth. Trevor enlists the help of Melanie, an old friend and a pharmaceutical representative for a competing weight-loss medication, in helping him discover who Shannon really is. Their investigation leads to Melanie being abducted by the criminal organization that sent Shannon to Phoenix. When Trevor travels to Mexico to try to rescue Melanie, he learns that the criminal organization is planning on contaminating the water in cities in the US with a drug that will make people more hungry and gain weight. This will lead to their buying more of criminal organization's weight-loss drug. Trevor must risk his life to save Melanie and to prevent the criminal organization from carrying out their nefarious plans.
