The Knights of Everund is the first book of the Legends of Averon series and my debut novel. It is a fantasy fiction story that I have been working on since I was a teenager and now over twenty years later I can finally share it with everyone. The book centers on Locke, a young man growing up in the magical world of Averon, in the southern region of Therred, a kingdom ruled by a man without claim to the throne, but who holds his people under control by fear. When a wizard from the northern kingdom of Everund shows up at the Blackwood Manor where Locke was raised, it sets into motion a series of events that will tear his family apart. When their home is raided for aiding magic users, a crime by the laws of Therred, Locke's life takes a drastic turn and the lengths he will have to go to try to save his family will see him travel across the world, where he meets strange new people and gets caught up in events much larger than himself as the threat of an ancient enemy rises.
