This book was created to share my personal journey of festered childhood trauma and the inevitable hurtful cycle of toxic relationships that I chose. Having taken the time to reflect, I began to heal and what a peaceful, beautiful journey it was. Life is not perfect, but when I learned how to heal my wounds instead of covering them and I began to diligently love myself, for better or for worst, I saw the world with the innocence of the eyes of a child. Eventually, my relationship with myself and God were renewed. I discovered that God is at my level, just as I am, however I am. This accelerated my healing process as I began to see the truth in the God of love. I learnt how to sit at the feet of wisdom and this helped me to accept the duality of good and evil for what they are, and instead of changing unshakeable people or situations, I changed my attitude. This book will leave a lasting legacy that there is beauty for ashes. Not only that, it is my intent that the content and analogies used in this book will be our early morning and late evening “Tea.” Just as a warm cup of our favourite beverage seems to chase the fog away from our minds, and comfort our stomach, may this book do what it will in your life and in mine.
