Henry Kuttner, allein und in Zusammenarbeit mit seiner Frau C.L. Moore, zählt zu den bedeutendsten Science-Fiction- und Fantasy-Autoren der 1940er Jahre. Sein Werk drang tief in die soziologischen und psychologischen Aspekte des Genres ein und bereicherte die Science-Fiction um eine menschliche Dimension, die über die reine Technologie hinausging.
