The first section delves into ethical considerations in dementia care, including the use of artificial intelligence for monitoring behavioral changes, and the importance of ethical reflection in professional nursing for older adults facing cognitive changes. It also discusses music and reminiscence therapy for patients with migration backgrounds and the ethical challenges in dementia treatment. The complexities of dementia care in hospital settings are examined alongside poetry that reflects the experiences of those affected. The second section presents case studies discussed by clinical ethics committees, addressing ethical dilemmas such as the appropriateness of PEG placement in terminal dementia patients, therapy goals for patients with a desire to die, and life-sustaining amputations against patient wishes.
