ACNS 2010, the 8th International Conference on Applied Cryptography and Network Security, took place in Beijing, China, from June 22-25, 2010. This event gathered participants from academia and industry across various cryptography and security research disciplines to promote idea exchange. Established in 2003, ACNS has seen consistent improvements in program quality over the years, with previous conferences held in locations such as Kunming, Yellow Mountain, New York, Singapore, Zhuhai, and Paris. The average acceptance rate has remained around 17%, with approximately 100 participants each year. This year, the conference received 178 submissions globally, each reviewed by at least three committee members, and those co-authored by committee members were reviewed by at least four. The high volume of quality submissions made the review process challenging, and the committee and external reviewers are commended for their exceptional efforts. After thorough discussions, the Program Committee selected 32 submissions for the academic track, which are included in this volume (LNCS 6123). Additionally, several other submissions were chosen for presentation in the non-archival industrial track.
