Operations began late Tuesday night from Hicham’s compound, and it took a day until the first raindrops fell. A new metal tripod was constructed in Amizmiz. The next day, we moved upstream from Tizfrit, typically working with Hicham and Fahd. Dense clouds formed, and a strange ring of dark clouds appeared, unlike anything the villagers had seen before. That night, rain showers intensified, accompanied by local hail in our operational area. On Friday, we planned a significant public operation in Tizfrit, having secured the elders' agreement. We set up the mobile cloudbuster unit in the village's main square, surrounded by local landmarks. Villagers gathered, including men, women, and children, as tea was served. We initiated operations, aiming to condense the dark clouds while strong cold winds picked up. Rain began to fall, and the villagers engaged in discussions about the process. By the operation's end, the sky was nearly dark with clouds. Following pre-Islamic tradition, Hicham, Fahd, and I turned our coats inside out to encourage rain, joined by some men who sang the rain prayer, while children chanted a rain song. That evening, rain started, increasing in intensity until it leaked through the roof. The next day, the sky was clear again. The operations took place from March 16th to 22nd, 2008, in the Atlas region near Tizfrit, about 55 km south of Marrakech.
