Es war eine ziemlich gut recherchierte erste Weltkriegs Geschichte. Ich hatte mir das Ende etwas anderes vorgestellt, doch nicht desto trotz war es ein ganz gutes Buch. Die versprochener Liebesgeschichte war aus meiner Sicht das enttäuschendste. Ich hätte mir dort mehr Tiefe, oder teilweise auch andere Entscheidungen von den Charakteren gewünscht.
