INTRODUCTION 1.1 GENERAL Matrix Converters (MC) are essentially 4-quadrant forced commutated converter and are formed by connecting a bi-directional switch cells in a matrix form. They are capable of fabricating an arbitrary output the voltage of variable frequency and magnitude.
