Humans possess subconscious desires that our inner child seeks to fulfill, including the need for love, acceptance, survival, and safety. These core needs give rise to additional desires, such as belonging, usefulness, and self-esteem. Achieving these goals independently can be challenging, prompting most individuals to seek fulfillment through connections with others. Thus, building interpersonal relationships becomes essential. This encompasses not only family partnerships but all types of relationships, as they all aim to meet similar needs. Constructing various relationships—emotional, addictive, symbiotic, or friendly—reflects our innate desire for human interaction. Living in a dualistic world, our relationships often evoke positive or negative feelings, influencing our choices in forming connections. The theme of interpersonal relationships is pervasive, manifesting in family, partnerships, personal interactions, and professional networks. As previously noted, the formation of relationships is a fundamental human necessity, driven by our need to satisfy personal aspirations. The type of relationship we pursue often correlates with our life stages. In youth, we seek partners to start families; during career-building, we look for support in professional growth; and as we achieve success, we desire companions to share our accomplishments. This exploration will focus specifically on relationships with life partners.
