The artist's publication, filled with drawings, original poems, and photographs, captures the events occurring in the now less accessible landscape of Prague's Motol at the end of the pandemic year. During his residency at the Motol landfill, artist and sculptor Martin Zet created a performative project centered on contemplation and communal festivities. By invoking the structure of the Star Summer Palace in participants' imaginations and incorporating poets to verbalize the location through original poetry, the project draws an analogy to an unrealized architectural endeavor. The AntiStar project delves into the Motol landfill, reflecting the negative imprint of the Star Summer Palace from the nearby deer park at White Mountain, serving as Zet's personal exploration of the landscape. This publication acts as a personal diary, a collection of poems, a summary of empirical investigation, an artist’s sketchbook, and a catalogue all in one. Contributions from poets such as Petr Hrbáč, Vít Janota, Zuzana Lazarová, and others enrich the work. The artists’ research residencies in Prague’s periphery were part of the Art for the City program, with the CirculUM project executed by the Prague City Gallery in collaboration with the Neolokator.cz transdisciplinary platform.
