Addressing the transition from capitalism to post-capitalism is an urgent task. This pamphlet aims to clarify our struggle to dismantle capitalism and pave the way toward eco-socialism. Those oppressed by capitalism often engage in actions that address its effects rather than its root causes. Our inactions, stemming from consent, perpetuate the capitalist system, as we fail to challenge our economic behaviors. This raises the question: why do oppressed individuals consent to their own oppression? As Gramsci noted, repression alone is insufficient; "hegemonic" ideas justify our circumstances. Rinky-dink revolution encompasses simple, safe, and feasible actions within everyone's reach. Historical revolutions show that the number of activists is small compared to the overall population. Estimates suggest that 7 to 11 million people are needed for revolutionary change in the U.S. The diversity of those opposing capitalism has grown beyond the visions of Marx and Engels, while those defending it remain a minority. A successful revolutionary strategy requires identifying which oppressive aspects of capitalism must be eliminated and which social and economic structures can remain. The vision of a post-capitalist society is clearer, emphasizing the need to withhold consent from capitalism’s sustaining processes.
