It employs both inductive and deductive research methods in Itaipulândia/PR, gathering quantitative and qualitative data. The findings reveal a prevalent "common sense" understanding of local environmental issues. In response, the author proposes a set of evaluation indicators based on the PIER methodology, aimed at enhancing the analysis and assessment of social and environmental factors in the community.
