The Poet and the Castle

Set against the backdrop of the 1536 Pilgrimage of Grace, the narrative follows Thomas Wyatt, appointed Constable of Conisbrough Castle, as he faces an overwhelming army of over 40,000. While the castle was never directly attacked, its fortified presence contributed to the pilgrimage's defeat. Interwoven with historical events, the story also explores Wyatt's tumultuous love affair with Anne Boleyn and the romantic dreams of a fictional character, Harry, adding depth and intrigue to the historical context.
