Hannah Johnson and Polly Palmer With Some of Their Kinsfolk

Mehr zum Buch

Excerpt from Hannah Johnson and Polly Palmer With Some of Their Kinsfolk Polly (palmer) Henderson, who died in 1912, was the youngest and last member of her family of the ninth generation. Having been born and brought up in Western Reserve, Ohio, she knew little of the history of her family in its earlier New England home. She did know that her mother, Hannah (johnson) Palmer, was born, grew to womanhood, and was married to Leman Palmer in Canaan, Connecticut, where all their children except she herself were born before the removal of the family home to Ohio. She remembered that her mother's father was named Levi and his father Timothy Johnson. Of her grandmother Johnson, she knew only that her name was Eunice and that she died when Hannah, Polly's mother, was very young.
