"Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus" tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a grotesque, sapient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment. When he is befriended by Adrian, son of the last King of England, he embraces civilization and particularly scholarship.
