A genuine great of twentieth-century writing, this release has been refreshed by Fitzgerald researcher James L.W. West III to incorporate the writer's last modifications and highlights a note on the organization and content, an individual foreword by Fitzgerald's granddaughter, Eleanor Lanahan-and another presentation by two-time National Book Award victor Jesmyn Ward. The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald's third book, remains as the incomparable accomplishment of his vocation. First distributed in 1925, this quintessential novel of the Jazz Age has been acclaimed by ages of perusers. The tale of the strangely rich Jay Gatsby and his adoration for the lovely Daisy Buchanan, of extravagant gatherings on Long Island when The New York Times noted "gin was the national beverage and sex the national fixation," it is a perfectly created story of America during the 1920s.

Dieses Buch finde ich sehr interessant, weil man viel über die Lebensart und Stimmung der damaligen Zeit in Amerika erfährt. Ausserdem ist es eine spannende und tragische Liebesgeschichte, empfehlenswert!
